Frosty Mammoth Studios ("we", "us") runs frostymammothstudios.com. This policy explains what information we collect through this website, why we collect it, and the choices you have. It covers this website only. Our games, and our pages on other platforms such as Discord, Bluesky, X, Instagram and Reddit, are covered by their own policies.

The short version

• The only personal information this website collects is your email address, and only if you join our newsletter.
• We don't sell your information, use it for advertising, or set cookies on this site.
• We use privacy-friendly analytics that count visits without identifying you.
• You can ask us to see, correct or delete your information at any time.

1. Information we collect

Information you give us

• Newsletter sign-ups: your email address.

If you contact us through X, Discord or another platform, your message is handled by that platform under its own privacy policy. We only use it to reply to you.

Information collected automatically

Like any website, our hosting provider processes some technical information so it can deliver pages to you and protect the site from abuse. This includes your IP address, browser type, the pages you request and your approximate country, which is worked out from your IP address.

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to see how many people visit and which pages are popular. It doesn't use cookies or similar storage on your device, and doesn't track you across other websites.

2. How we use your information

• To reply to messages you send us on X, Discord or other platforms.
• To send you our newsletter (studio news, game announcements and playtest invites), if you signed up.
• To keep the website secure and working, including filtering spam and abuse.
• To understand, in aggregate, how the website is used so we can improve it.

We don't sell or rent your personal information, and we don't use it for advertising.

3. Legal bases

If you're in the European Economic Area or the UK, we rely on these legal bases: your consent for the newsletter, which you can withdraw at any time; and our legitimate interests in replying to messages you send us, keeping the site secure and understanding how it's used.

4. Cookies

This website doesn't set cookies. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, may set a strictly necessary security cookie if it needs to check that a visitor isn't an automated bot.

5. Who we share information with

We only share information with service providers that help us run the website, and only as much as they need:

• Cloudflare hosts the website, processes form submissions, protects the site from attacks and provides our analytics. (Cloudflare's privacy policy)
• Google Fonts supplies the fonts this site uses. When your browser loads them, Google receives your IP address and browser information. (Google's privacy policy)
• Discord: newsletter sign-ups may be delivered to a private channel in our team's Discord server so we can manage our mailing list. (Discord's privacy policy)
• Email service provider: if we use an email service to send our newsletter, your email address will be stored with that provider so it can send you emails.

We may also disclose information if the law requires us to, or to protect the rights, safety or property of our players, our studio or others.

6. How long we keep information

• Newsletter email addresses: until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove you.
• Technical logs held by Cloudflare: for a short period, usually a few days.

Messages you send us on X, Discord or other platforms are stored by those platforms under their own policies.

7. Your rights and choices

You can ask us to:

• tell you what personal information we hold about you and give you a copy of it;
• correct information that is wrong;
• delete your information;
• stop using your information for a particular purpose; or
• remove you from our newsletter. You can also use the unsubscribe link in any newsletter email.

Depending on where you live, for example in the EEA, the UK, Canada or California, you may have additional rights under local law, including the right to complain to your data protection authority. To make a request, send us a direct message on X at @FrostyMammothHQ. We'll respond within 30 days.

8. International transfers

Our service providers may process information in countries other than the one you live in, including the United States. Where required, they use recognised safeguards such as standard contractual clauses to protect it.

9. Children

This website isn't directed to children under 13, or under the minimum age for giving consent where you live, and we don't knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we'll delete it.

10. Security

This website is only served over encrypted HTTPS connections, and we take reasonable steps to protect the information you send us. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll change the "Last updated" date at the top, and if the changes are significant we'll highlight them on this website.
